Jason Wright, the former president of the Washington Commanders NFL team, speaks with James Patton about family, voting rights, sports, social divisions, faith, and food!
Jason Wright is responsible for leading the organization's business divisions, including operations, finance, sales, and marketing. In addition to leading a historic transformation of a sports franchise, he is the first Black team president in the history of the NFL. He is also the fourth former NFL player to become president of a team. Jason holds an MBA and has worked on inclusion in corporate leadership and staffing. Jason’s family also played an important role in the civil rights movement in the United States. Jason will leave the Commanders at the end of the 2024 season but will maintain his role and responsibilities until then.
